DEV가 Hacktoberfest 주말 챌린지: Build for a Friend의 수상작을 공개했습니다. 올해 Hacktoberfest에서 열리는 챌린지 다섯 개 가운데 첫 번째입니다.
과제는 오픈소스 AI를 중심에 두고 내 주변의 실제 한 사람을 위해 무언가를 만드는 것이었습니다. 참가자들은 부모님, 조부모님, 형제자매, 같은 반 친구, 룸메이트, 친구를 위한 도구를 만들어 냈습니다. 제출작은 기존 최다 기록의 약 세 배에 달했고, 지금까지 DEV 챌린지 중 참여가 가장 많았습니다.
DEV 팀은 만든 도구를 받은 사람이 어떤 반응을 보였는지 적어 준 참가자가 많았다며, 그 이야기들 덕분에 심사가 즐거우면서도 어려웠다고 밝혔습니다. 이번 프로젝트들이 오픈 모델이 왜 중요한지 잘 보여 준다는 말도 덧붙였습니다. 개인 데이터가 집 밖으로 나가지 않고, 신용카드 없이도 도구를 돌릴 수 있고, 아끼는 사람에게 꼭 맞게 AI를 다듬을 수 있다는 것이죠.
